Over 200 Visitors to our Art Exhibition!
More than 200 people enjoyed the chance to view and buy artwork at our first big exhibition which took place at Hook Village Hall over the weekend of 20th and 21st May 2017.
Guests enjoyed a wine and nibbles reception on the evening of Friday 19th May, where the exhibition was officially opened by the Mayor of Royal Wootton Basset, Steve Bucknell, Town Crier Owen Collier, and Tom Paget from sponsors, Awdry, Baily & Douglas solicitors.
The display was open to the public during Saturday and Sunday where visitors had the opportunity to view more than 60 paintings in many different styles and subjects. Greetings cards and unframed works were also on sale, along with an additional exhibition of art by children of Royal Wootton Bassett Infants' School.
Said our Art Society Chairperson, Jacqui Mason, "This was a wonderful opportunity to show our work. We were thrilled to welcome so many visitors to our exhibition and, with seven paintings and many greetings cards sold, the event was a huge success. "
